Meet The RockCrest Financial Team

Steven A. Boorstein, PharmD, CFP®

Founder & CEO of RockCrest Financial L.L.C.

My passion for finance started early—in 6th grade, I charted stock prices for a school project and was hooked. In college, I was actively investing in mutual funds, stocks, eventually options, and commodities. I earned my B.S. in Pharmacy from Philadelphia  College of Pharmacy & Science and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University. I’ve held positions in retail and hospital pharmacy, the pharmaceutical industry, and academia, but my true career passion was always my love for finance. In 1998, I transitioned to financial advising at Prudential Securities but quickly became frustrated with the industry’s sales-driven focus. In 2002, I went independent, launching my own fee-based practice, and in 2012, RockCrest Financial LLC was born. I passed the CFP Board Exam in 2005 and have been a Certified Financial Planner® Professional for 20 years.

I am also the author of How to Buy Your First Rental Property and Beyond. I have written or been interviewed for articles on sites like TheStreet.com, NerdWallet, and DailyNurse.com on topics ranging from financial and retirement planning to college planning and teaching kids about money. I also served on the Finance Council for Our Lady of Peace Parish and on the Monroe Township Planning Board.

In late 2021, I reflected on how we could raise the bar in financial planning and truly put clients first. I envisioned a model where the advisor acts as the client’s Personal Finance CEO, offering comprehensive financial planning across all key areas—financial planning, tax strategy, estate planning, investment management, and risk reduction—at a flat fee, not tied to the client’s assets. This approach eliminates conflicts of interest and avoids the “wealth tax” seen in traditional fee structures.

Most importantly, our service model requires coordination with the client’s entire team—accountants, attorneys, insurance agents, and more—to ensure all aspects of their financial life are aligned with their goals and values. This holistic, client-first model sets us apart from other firms.

Now that you know more about me than most professionals you’ve worked with, I’d love for us to learn more about you and see how we can help on your journey to financial independence.

Aiden Boorstein

Financial Planner

With a passion for lifestyle and financial improvement, I believe a solid financial foundation is essential for overall well-being. I have a passion to motivate and guide people to achieve their financial goals while maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Since I was little, sports were always a big part of my life. Some of the sports I have been drawn toward over the years include soccer, volleyball, golf, and mixed martial arts. Drawing from my background in sports and a love for the outdoors, I understand the importance of staying active and engaged in all aspects of life, which often all connect to your personal finances.

In 2024, I earned my bachelor’s degree in finance with a concentration in financial planning from Stockton University and have since built my career around helping individuals take control of their finances. Before graduating from college, I passed my Series 65 exam and became registered in the state as an Investment Advisor Representative to get an early start in my career. In November 2024, I passed the CFP® exam at the age of 22. For reference, less than 7% of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals are under the age of 30.

Beyond my work with clients, I’m dedicated to financial education. I create content for our YouTube channel called Personal Finance CEO, focused on teaching personal finance concepts in an accessible and engaging way. My goal is to empower people with the knowledge they need to make confident financial decisions, whether it’s planning for retirement, saving for life goals, enhancing your lifestyle, or exploring alternative investments.

Today, I combine my expertise in personal finance with my commitment to a healthy and happy lifestyle, helping clients lead financially sound and fulfilling lives.
